Beautiful route which starts from Stemnitsa, the village of the goldsmiths and seat of the First Peloponnesian Senate of 1821. Shortly before the church of Agios Nikolaos, a sign leads us to the first path, the old road to the monastery of Prodromos.
The path, which is well written and locally built, passes through a zone of old crops, centered on the Kamari Fountain.
One stop will be at Metamorfosi Sotira, where the fountains and the view of the gorge will keep us for a while, before we enter the cobbled path that leads to the Monastery of Prodromos. The monastery is open to the public every day.
On the rest of the route I meet the concrete bridge of Philosophos, the Old Monastery of Philosophos, the New Monastery of Philosophos, the Bridge of Monopori and the path to the Museum of Hydrokinesis.
The whole route is systematically marked with and, while there are several signposts.
